Rest in the Little Way
True rest is not merely the stopping of work but a received peace that comes when we become small and let Love carry us.
Thérèse Martin entered the Carmel of Lisieux at fifteen and died of tuberculosis at twenty-four. Her autobiographical manuscripts, published as Story of a Soul, describe a "little way" of trust and small acts of love that made her one of the most widely read Christian writers of the twentieth century. The persona uses the 1912 Taylor translation of the edited text.
